And it turns out that theory was spot on! I also like the theory that One Piece is not actually something to be discovered but more like something to be created. Some people think that Joyboy has the power to actually pull all the islands to gather to make the world one piece. As in one landmass. While this doesn't necessarily sound like something that Luffy would want to do, but we now know that with his awakened powers, he technically seems like he has the ability to do that now.
