Administrators Herbert Posted March 30 Administrators Share Posted March 30 Xbox’s Chris Charla says gamepass isn't disruptive . I think the word disruptive is normally a term reserved for innovators and start ups. Maybe he's speaking in that sense. I also don't think there is simple negative connotation to it. Sure established players in a given industry may view it negatively. But most CASUAL consumers likely look at disruption very favorably otherwise its not truly disruptive. I do believe that over time game pass does have potential to change the gaming industry but its still peaking. It hasn't reached its full potential yet. Once Xbox is dropping 3 high quality AAA games a year I think it will become disruptive. The service has at least another year before we start seeing that sort of production. The Activision Blizzard King acquisition if completed will help them reach those goals. Right now, we just sit back and wait to see what happens.
