Does PlayStation and Xbox Need to Get Back Into The Handheld Gaming Market?

I think some people are looking at the success of the steam deck and are wondering If PlayStation and Xbox should attempt to get back into the handheld gaming market.

Maybe I'm wrong but when I think of mobile gaming I think of mostly super casual gamers that play on their phone or super hardcore gamers that love to have their games available wherever they are.

Its been a while since I've done any form of mobile gaming so of course I'm a bit bias. But right now, I think PlayStation and Xbox is much more focused on content and services. 

Also with all the major tech companies laying off people in preparation for a recession, I imagine its highly unlikely either of them will be interested in starting up something anytime soon.
