I'm honestly a bit surprised by this suggestion. Three seasons feels about right to me. That would allow them the time not to gloss over anything plus cover the immediate aftermath. Four seasons seems a bit much. When you look at it from a history perspective that timeline makes sense. But the real question is do you have enough potential character driven content, to keep the story interesting to viewers that are not interested in seeing the world of A song of ice and fire come to life.

As a huge book fan, I'm going to be watching everything but now that the Dance is about to begin, I do wonder if the showrunners will be able to keep the plotlines interesting from week to week.
