The Mummy Director Calls the Tom Cruise Reboot 'Probably the Biggest Failure of My Life'

I didn't see the movie this way. While the Mummy reboot wasn't perfect by any means, I thought it was still pretty cool. I also thought it did a decent job of introducing some characters which were gonna be part of Universal's shared monster universe. That would have been awesome. In much the same way that the Wolfman starring Benecio Del Torro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blount wasn't perfect but it was still very enjoyable. I would have loved to see more. Russell Crow and Tom Cruise in a shared universe with other established actors. Its hard for me to imagine that they couldn't have found a way to make that work.
