It's been 23 years since Final Fantasy VIII released. That's a long long time!

This is still my favorite Square RPG of all time and perhaps my favorite game of all time. It's definitely in my top 5.

I truly believe that one day it will get the full remake treatment.

Square has to know that they're sitting on a goldmine with Final Fantasy 6-10. They could a honestly remake all these games and make a ton of money. I'm not just talking remakes either. They could do sequels, anime series and movies. They could charge $60 for each one and fans would still buy it. I truly believe that.
